I was made to feel completely at ease

From the moment I was greeted by Steve, Jo, Rosie and Jim I was made to feel completely at ease with their warm and welcoming greeting.
I had had a narrow boat in the UK for 5 years, so I kind of knew something about canals and boats, but also was aware I was probably full of bad habits as I’ve never had any instruction. Steve and Jo were cool, calm and professional throughout the two days I spent with them, they taught me how to do things I thought I knew and certainly shoed me things that I didn’t know. Not for one minute over the two days did I ever feel any pressure or panic, even when I got it wrong. Steve was always there to correct or instruct.
For anybody contemplating life on a Dutch barge, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bargecraft as your first port of call on learning how things are done.
